Performing Arts

Students at Aitken Creek Primary School are given the opportunity to explore and develop skills in all areas through the Performing Arts. Throughout the year every student has the opportunity to perform individually, in small groups and as a whole class. The Arts are a unique, expressive and creative form of engaging students in critical and creative thinking. The performing arts domain allows students to create and critically explore visual culture, performances in contemporary and traditional genres, and works that involve exploration of international and cultural forms of performance and music.

A school concert is held every second year where every student is involved. On the alternate year Aitken Creek Primary School holds a School Showcase where student’s achievements in Performing Arts are celebrated and displayed, interactive activities are available for friends and family to see and participate in. Aitken Creek Primary School also provides the opportunity for senior students to join the school’s choir Creek Crew.
